Children have been creating amazing drama at Titirangi Theatre for decades with the encouragement of tutor John Goudge.

Acting classes develop confidence, teamwork and a sense of fun. Students learn skills for acting on stage in this comprehensive three-term programme.

Maximum 12 students per class.

2024 Acting Classes with John Goudge

Term 1 - The Actor's Toolkit

Through scenes, games and exercises students develop their acting craft. Family and friends are invited to come along and see their progress on the last night of term.

Term 2 - Create Something from Nothing

Students learn how to think quick, create characters and stories while working as a team. We create improvised scenes and games and invite family and friends to see a free performance on the last night of term.

Term 3 - What's My Scene

Students develop and rehearse a play. The Intermediate and College classes will be rehearsing for our public production on 26-28 September. Our Junior students will have a performance on their final Tuesday.

Three classes for children

Intermediate: Children in year 7 and 8 at school - Mondays 4.45pm to 6pm

College: Children in year 9, 10 and 11 - Mondays 6.15pm to 7.45pm

Junior: Children in year 5 and 6 - Tuesdays 4.45pm to 5.45pm
