Lopdell Precinct at 418 Titirangi Rd, Titirangi, Auckland.

Lopdell Precinct is an arts and culture facility located in Titirangi Village, West Auckland. Three buildings form the Precinct; The Historic Lopdell House, the Treasure House and Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery.

Open daily and there’s always something to see! Enjoy exhibitions at The Upstairs Art Gallery and Te Uru, enjoy the stunning views of the Manukau harbour from our rooftop terrace, then visit Deco Eatery and soak in the Spanish Mission architecture.

Our History

Originally Hotel Titirangi, Lopdell House was built and promoted as a ‘Castle on the Fringe of Heaven’. The Spanish mission-style hotel could accommodate over 60 guests in its fully carpeted rooms with ensuites. It had a small shop, tea-room, observation deck and a restaurant with a dance floor. Lopdell Trust

In 2002 the Lopdell House Development Trust was formed by a group of community volunteers concerned for the deteriorating state of Lopdell House and the future of the arts activities it housed. Learn more.
