LIVE @ LOPDELL: DOS ENEMIGOS

Friday 9 May, 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) | Tickets $25 - students $20

Dos Enemigos is a dynamic musical duo that delivers a genre-defying experience rooted in global sounds and deep improvisation. Blending elements of jazz with music from every corner of the world, their performances are unpredictable, high-energy, and richly textured, featuring a wide range of instruments. At the heart of the project are two exceptional musicians—close friends and playful rivals—whose on-stage chemistry fuels the creative tension that defines their sound. Each live show is a unique event, enhanced by immersive live animation that brings their musical storytelling to life in real time.

Finn Scholes has been playing trumpet and jazz keyboard professionally around Auckland and overseas for the past 10 years. He is the leader of the well known Auckland-based band Carnivorous Plant Society. He has taught music in many high schools and institutions.

Alistair Deverick is a drummer and composer working out of the Lab Studios in Mount Eden. As a drummer he performs with a diverse portfolio of acts including the Carnivorous Plant Society, Lawrence Arabia and Jol Mulholland. He spent much of 2010 and 2012 touring the world with The Ruby Suns and a large part of 2014 on a world tour with Neil Finn.
