'WORD' Members Group Show

Upstairs Gallery's first group exhibition of 2026 is based on the theme of ‘Word’. They are celebrating the connection of visual art to writing. We have many artists who blur the lines of these art practices. This exhibition is an invitation to utilize a word or words to produce artworks.

Opening Friday, 8 May, 6pm to 7:30pm.

On show 8 May to 31 May.

Created by Dasha Volga - internationally acclaimed actor and independent filmmaker.
Since moving to New Zealand in 2022, Dasha has appeared in The Brokenwood Mysteries and founded LiveTheatré, a community theatre initiative focused on acting and performance.
