Funding for New Arts Grant
Lopdell Trust is pleased to announce the launch of a grant fund with the purpose to broaden diversity and increase community participation in the creative activities within the Lopdell Precinct, in line with its charter.
This is the inaugural launch of the annual Lopdell Trust Arts Grant. Applications close on Wednesday, 30th November 2022. All funded projects must be completed before 30th June 2023.
Successful grants are typically expected to be up to a maximum of $10,000.00. More substantial grants may be considered on a discretionary basis, but such grants will be the exception rather than the rule.
Lopdell Trust Grants are intended to broaden participation and encourage diversity of creative activity within the Lopdell Precinct.
In framing grant applications, applicants should note that the total annual grants pool is $30,000.00 and the Trust would like to see the benefits spread reasonably widely. Applicants should also note that in making granting decisions the Trust will be guided by the following policy intentions:
- provide emerging artists with access to Precinct facilities
- enhance the activities of core arts tenants in the Precinct
- promote community engagement with the opportunities and offerings of the Precinct.
Applications from all art forms and all levels of ability will be considered. All applications must be made by email only and by completing the application form and providing all other documentation requested.
Successful applicants will need to submit a brief written report after the project’s completion – we will provide a template for this. You will need to include the Lopdell Trust logo on your marketing or promotional material and provide us with such material so that we may distribute it via our marketing and media channels.
Successful projects will be required to be completed on/before 30 June 2023. Due to existing demands on the Precinct facilities – all theatre bookings will need to be negotiated accordingly.
