Join us for a walk in the bush with an ecologist, followed by a FREE nature printing workshop
Learn about forest restoration from a local ecological expert who will lead you on a bush walk. Followed by a workshop to create a series of contact nature prints using the natural materials gathered at the site.
Nature Printing is an ancient art form that takes objects in nature, such as leaves and stems, and transfers the beauty of those objects into art. In this workshop you'll learn about and be guided on how to carefully gather plant materials from the bush and use them to make impressions onto paper using the Gelli Plate method. The focus is to appreciate and better understand the form and expression of plants in their natural location and how restoration practices contribute to their continued ability to enrich our lives.
These workshops are free to all participants thanks to LimenLab and a generous Arts Award from Lopdell Trust.
