Audible Garden free creative workshops - Lopdell House Titirangi

FREE workshops in acting, Bollywood dancing, Indian vocal technique, ethnic flute playing, poetry writing and diverse needs music making.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at singing, acting, dancing, poetry writing and even learning to play an exotic wind instrument but didn’t know where to start? If this sounds like you then you’re in for a real treat!

Audible Garden is a series of FREE workshops for learning new skills, and are inclusive of people with diverse abilities. We have six different workshops available, facilitated by experienced tutors.

The title Audible Garden was selected during a reflective moment at sunset while observing a beautiful garden. It was literally a feast for the senses; it was colour, sound, movement and deep within, it held its own poetry. It was also inclusive, diverse and had its own drama constantly unfolding as life came into being and out of being.

The philosophy behind the Audible Garden workshop is very straight forward and much needed after a number of challenging years to the local community. We aim to bring back unity, diversity, inclusivity and creativity into the community. Many people utilised their time during the lockdowns to develop new talents, but others felt isolated and had very few avenues for self-expression. These workshops encourage people that have always dreamed of learning new talents to explore those aspects of themselves and also to add momentum to those already along the path of their creative endeavours. The Audible Garden workshops provide a great opportunity for people to bounce creative ideas off each other, to inspire each other and, of course, add moral support that can be missing when going it alone.

Audible Garden is about watching people bloom, encouraging our own unique personal growth and that of others. Let this not be the winter of our souls but the flourishing of the new.

The Audible Garden workshops are supported by the Lopdell Precinct and made a reality through the generous support of the Lopdell Trust Grant scheme.
